I'm looking for intercom solution and came across the popular "C-Phone". I know that it's been used by SR on larger yachts. It seems logical for me to utilize pre-wired phone jacks and based on the specs this appears to be robust system that handles up to 4 stations (I would need only 2-3).

Is anyone familiar with this system?

I'm not familiar with that system but I just installed this system. http://www.newmarpower.com/Phone-Coms_Radio_Covers_Hailers/Phone-Coms_Radio_Covers_Hailers.html I only needed a system from the fly bridge to the salon. It was really easy to install and it works great. Very good sound quality. I bought the PI-2 on eBay for $75 for a 2 phone kit including the cable.

This is great! That's exactly what I need. Did you need a master control unit with these phones or is the basic communication feature built in? My main goal is the same as you had, bridge to salon communication.

I have the c-phone. It works as advertised. Best part is that I have a cell phone connected so that any phone on board can make and receive calls, just like at home.

Nothing else is needed. Just the 2 units and the cable between the 2. Somewhere you need to add 12 volt power and a negative lead. It was really easy to install. My main goal was to talk to the Admiral if she goes below alone. If its just the 2 of us you really can't leave the bridge to go check on her. Well....that and to have her bring me a sandwich or a beverage.
