Cockpit fold down step

Has anyone had any experience with the fold down step on the late nineties 330's and some other models. Mine broke at the hinge (when my #400lbs+ friend stepped down on it). I would first like to know where I can get one to replace mine or at the least the replacement parts.

You can't have someone weld it? I would think a metal fabricator shop that does stainless work could repair it and maybe also beef up the attachment. I will say that the design does not seem that strong. We don't have any 400lbers in our crowd, but I can feel mine flexing with my 200lbs.
