Any of you use these or leave them on the boat to help clean those hard to reach areas?

if you guys say these suck I’m going to throw a fit and harass you in PMs!!

p.s. I know they’re too weak to be considered a real pressure washer. But are they still useful?

I’ve never had one……’cause I’d never buy one……cordless items (except drill packs) usually have far too little power to be effective….so
I stay away from them……

While I don't have a pressure washer, I've been amazed at the power that my 18 volt Ryobi tools can produce. As a for-instance, their 1/2" impact driver produces up to 375 lb/ft, making it super handy when changing tires.

Feel free! You know, my dad never liked you.

I received one as a gift. It's good in theory, but not for the boat in my opinion. You still need to carry a 5 gallon bucket around with you on the deck and there were times two batteries couldn't make it through the entire boat. Plus it's not super powerful either and you ended up needing to scrub a lot with the brush.

Brand/model?

Have you not tried the latest generation of cordless yard tools? They’re rather powerful these days.

I think like @Nater Potater said it will depend a lot on the make and model your considering. My son in law has a Robi lawnmower two 40v packs I was surprised how strong it is.
But like @douglee25 a bucket seems like a pain.
I would want one with a hose I could connect to the cockpit hose bib. Then you may as well have a corded 120v to the cockpit as well.
How did you envision using it? Dockside or at anchor?

I don't have a cordless pressure washer but I've been totally battery for lawn and now snow for 7 years now. Everything is Ego. Lawnmower, string trimmer, edger, leaf blower, hedge cutter and now snowblower. The lawnmower uses a 7.5 amp 56v battery. The snowblower uses 2 of them. Makes using the stuff extremely convenient. No storing gasoline (and using some sort of gas treatment to keep it fresh). My drive mechanism on my 7 year old Ego mower gave up this year. Decided to just get all new, including a new battery last month. The original mower battery is still good.

I have another recommendation for you.

I secured the mount to my dock pole and store this unit in in my dock box. It lifts out and slides onto the mount. It uses a 100ft hose. No dragging the unit or water supply hoses around. Absolutely huge time saver.

Giraffe Tools Grandfalls Pressure Washer.

The plus+ unit has a replaceable hose and a two year warranty. I don't know for certain but some ads show a 'plus' and a 'plus+' model. I thought the 'plus' model had a replaceable hose but some show the 'plus+' using the replaceable hose.

It's going to be pretty low volume and pressure just an FYI. To me they are more useful for a dirt bike or quick car wash. Not much more than that.

Is it actually effective at removing mud from dirt bikes? If so it’ll probably work for what I want it for. I have a dock neighbor that has a little electric pressure washer that he built into a storage unit on his tiara.

I missed this earlier.

that’s a nice setup. I was thinking about putting a smaller version under the rear seat. But that only covers one boat. With a cordless one I could also use it at my slip for my center console. That slip doesn’t have power available.
