It would be interesting to see the statistics on fuel dock boat explosions to see if most happen to novice boaters or experienced boaters that have become complacent.

Just watched that too. Damn! It split the hull/deck joint! It’s easy even for experienced boaters to become complacent. Gotta run the blowers. Double check your fill hoses. And make everything is marine rated (spark protection)

No, it's cars on fire. They don't explode like the movies. The tires pop - boom, boom. And the gas tank eventuallly gives way as spreads a stream of ignited gas all over the place. Ask me how I know.

I looked it up in 2020 fuel related fire/explosions there were 176 events. Of those 176 there were 3 deaths & 171 injuries, causing $7,505,475.00 in damages.

prolly hit the blower switch with fumes in the engine compartment while fueling.
