Update on the swim platform mod:
Before the 2010 season started, I removed the "skirt" and adjusted the swimplatform to counter the "droop". There are threaded rods underneath that can be adjusted for this purpose.
I had also wanted to have the platform raised, however I had difficulty locating the materials last year and ran out of time before launch. So renewed the effort this winter and located what I was looking for - 3" x 3" square aluminum tube, with 1/4" thick walls.
I had the marina do the installation and here's a couple of shots of it installed between the hyraulic forks and the swimplatform.
I think it will be plenty strong, however I'll keep an eye on it though the summer. I bought a couple of extra pieces, so I could double up on each fork, however I don't want to add weight needlessly.
Now just lookiung forward getting back into the water in a couple of weeks!
