I am looking at Direct TV streaming to replace cable at home and the lake house. Saves me about $175/month.

Thanks for the tip, just signed up for a trial version.I'm not a big tennis fan, meaning i don't seek out the matches to watch, but I know someone who does and they love tennistv.com. Just sharing as I cut the cord years ago and am so over paying these cable company so much for 90% of crap no one in my household watches.
When you use your cell phone to conduct a speed test it will automatically switch to the faster upload and download which can be either wifi or cellular speed. Signal strength means little when uploading or downloading. Example...my marina shows me all bars on wifi, but download is less than 10mbps. When I told the Harbour master he comes over with his phone and shows me a higher speed. I then ask him to turn off cellular and only use wifi....his speed was horrible. So always turn off either wifi or cellular to find the speed of what you are trying to control and eliminate everything else. Phone switch back and forth and you don't know what is doing the work.

I cut my mother's cord a year plus ago and introduced her to the world of Roku. Put her on YouTube TV, and at the time it had tennis channel. That is her go to entertainment. when they dropped it (amid price increases), I noticed that I had it on my Spectrum service. So, I added the app, logged in as a Spectrum customer, and only have to re-authenticate every 90 days or so. Your mileage may vary.I want to cut the cord, but I LOVE watching tennis, The Tennis Channel. That is really all I watch on TV except for some HBO Max and Amazon Prime series. The gf doesn't watch TV. Xfinity seems to be one of the only services that carries The Tennis Channel.
I had true AT&T fiber all the way to the box in Florida (U-verse). I transfered the account to Michigan but it's not true fiber up here. Speeds are half of what we had down south. Really nothing to lose trying the Verizon Ultra 5G home. No contract and $25/mo. Speeds are faster than U-verse on my phone. I still don't have the modem yet. That's supposed to arrive near the first of the month. Regardless, I'm done with AT&T. For internet only now I'll likely go with Xfinity if Verizon doesn't work.I am not sure how 5G would work out for streaming. We have AT&T fiber and use Youtube TV as our streaming service. We have used it for about 4 years now. We get our local channels live which is a plus for us. We cut the cord about 10 years ago.
Direct TV Stream gets you all the channels....One question for those that ‘cut the cord’.
Can you still get Law & Order, Gunsmoke, Cheyenne, The Virginian, 5 days a week?
And Big Valley.

I think we are $50/month for YouTube TV running on a fire stick. I really don’t like the menu and really miss a previous channel button
Do you get a previous channel button ?69.99 for the base package which gets you all the channels, 20hours of DVR a month. Unlimited DVR is an extra $10 a month...which we signed up for...but I figure if I don't want it before 20 hours is filled up, I really could do without watching it...

Cause I work home these days and it’s on my tv all day every day.

Update...
I received my Verizon gateway/router yesterday. So far so good with its performance. Mbps has been as low as 380. Just checking now it's 960. Plenty to run my stuff.
Now, YouTube tv.... That's going to take some getting used to. Live grid is is just OK. I haven't figured out how to go directly to a channel. Trying to use the Roku remote to navigate. I'm hoping I won't need to get a universal remote. Hoping this old fart can get the hang of it.
