Guys,
My documentation shows 13GRT. What does your documentation show?

My 310 da shows 15GRT 12NRT, go figure.

If I do the calculation on my build sheet I’m at 19.41 tons. That would qualify me for a 50ton license. My current documentation only shows 13 Gross ton. When they did it they only went off my NYS registration, not my build sheet. USCG is asking for my tonnage. I’ll send them my build sheet and hope they don’t ask me to change my documentation now.

That's weird so I just pulled my paper work from the last 2 boats..

My 2005 320 Sundancer is 15GRT

My 2005 340 Sundancer is 19GRT

p.s. Ty about the props... I dropped them off last week... Lets see how they do..

This is my first documented boat. Can someone explain to me what Gross Tonnage and Net Tonnage means. According to Sea Ray my boat weights 14,000 lbs. Does this mean anything as far as tonnage goes?

Thanks mnm99. I googled it and went into the USCG - tonnage guide. Using there formulas I came up really close to my GT on my documentation. Interesting stuff.
