Does anyone have an experience with the load-a-pup ladder attachment for dogs?

I just purchased one from Bass Pro Shops. You can find a 20% off coupon if you google Bass Pro Shop coupons. Shipping was $10 and they Fedex it. The platform itself, it very sturdy and folds almost flat for storage. Only danger is if it slips out of your hands before you strap it onto the ladder, it's a goner. My back likes it, as does the pup, all 80 lbs of him.

Or just teach them to use the ladder? Our Golden could get up on our 250 DA by herself. It had 3 rungs on the ladder, the last was bent out just a bit to match the hull when flipped up. The 300 DA only has two rungs and it's straight down. We have to put our hand behind her head and she crawls up. That way we aren't lifting her full weight, just assisting while he CG gets over the edge of the swim platform. It's amazing what a few Scooby Snacks can do!!
