Rumor is, the camera wasn’t a go pro mounted to dash. It was a guy holding camera who actually controlled the boat after the 2 were gone. Staged. Who knows?[

I am actually contemplating re-joining FB only for the various boating groups that I would like to access. I ran into another 506 owner on the guest dock and the topic of forum participation came up. The Carver Owners forum is super lame compared to CSR but my new found fellow 506 owner said the FB group is quite active and helpful. Principles are Principles though so I think I will hold my position against the tilted windmill!

Many boating groups are only on FB now. CSR is the exception (and exceptional). I belong to a few groups there and hate the interface and lack of structure. But when it's your only alternative you do what you gotta do.

I joined FB a month ago. Since joining I have joined a local group for my river that provides lots of good local information. and just today I found and purchased 2 gas & water caps from a guy parting out a boat like mine. These are very hard to come by when you drop one in the water. Just avoid the idiots and FB can be useful. Its the universal place anymore for information.
