Nice scene to sip some bourbon and relax too. Possibly a nice cigar as well. Don't you just love the Chesapeake, I know I do.
... Sky, I’ve never moved more than 20 miles away from the James River, I don’t know if I even could.
The Lake of the Ozarks hosts a "Shootout" every year. The chamber of commerce claims it is the largest boat race in the world. Anyway, we see a lot of those on the highway on the way to our lake around the Shootout dates. I will say, seeing a pontoon break 100 MPH is quite the spectacle.
Not enough likes. Why would you want to. It's paradise here in and around the Chesapeake.
65 years on the Bay for me, generations of my families. From dead risers to buy boats, sail and power. All the way to battleships built in Newport News. But I see photos from the folks up on the Great Lakes, Delaware, Keys, and the West Coast. Beautiful emerald waters, all we have is brown silted waters. Why would you want to. I can validate how brown and dirty the James River is having spent many years boating in it, and tying up on the shore spending the day in the water drinking.65 years on the Bay for me, generations of my families. Puget Sound/San Juan Islands. Never from my own boat, but cruising around on the ferries. My hope is to drag the Sundancer up to Mukilteo and spend a few weeks cruising through the islands. Now you also mentioned West coast. From a boating perspective I would love to spend a summer up north on the west coast. Lot's of cruising up there.
