electrical wiring schematics for SD290 -96

Hi All!

I have a strange fault in my Sundancer 290 -96.
One of the two bilge pumps won't work.
When connected to power with loose cables it runs just fine.
If i add water to the bilge the lamp in the button for bilge pump in the control panel is lit. but i cant switch the pump on from the panel.

Now, is there anyone that have a complete electrical diagram it would solve my problem!

I assume you have a SeaRay 290 Sundancer(DA not SD).

Hi Todd!

Read the manuals, and as i assumed there's an alarm that should sound when the float switch is activated.
(when i insert 12 volt to the wire to the motor this starts to hum under the dash board) when the manual switch on the control panel was working the pump was running without the alarm sounding, so there must be another kind of electrical wiring then the one i thought there was.
(the manual switch parallell over the float switch)

But the manual didn't help me find this, do you have any other suggestions?

And while i'm already bothering you i have another issue...
Changed the trim sender kit last year.
After this the trim meter on the dash board moves just a tiny bit until it swings full up. the trim limit is working fine , and so is the trailer switch part as well. From what i found the resistance in the sender is 0-240 ohms. but running the meter on the workbench it seems as it should have a range of 0-2400 ohms?
Just to make this funny my collegue imported a 250 sundancer , changed his kit, and has the same fault!!

Found several different art.nu. for the senders, do you have any ideas of which it should be?

Hey Simon.
As far as the bilge alarm, that's hard to say. To be honest I haven't investigated that on my boat as yet. I have tested the bilge pumps but haven't tested a "high bilge" alarm.

On your guages, I'm wondering if you purchased the correct ones? I have never replaced those so I'll let those with experience with those answer.
