When we purchased our 2008 350 DA it took several years for me to realize that Searay never hooked up the switch at the factory. I have the toggle switch on the dash, the wiring harness under the dashboard (still coiled up and never assembled/connected) and not sure what else is missing, I would assume it would need a solenoid in the bilge (don't see one anywhere though). Just wondering what else I need and how to get this assembled and what it might take. Thx

That's really odd. If you are positive thats what the harness is for I would start by jumping the terminals with the hatch lifted and listen for a click. If you hear one it's possible all you need to do is to connect the switch. The solenoid is often hidden under a cover with the rest of the electrical gear.

Thanks, for the feedback. So yeah as soon as I can figure out how to correctly connect it. I'm on lookout for someone with a similar Searay so I can look at the wiring so as to not screw it up.

Finally had an electrician out and he figured out the correct wiring positions to hook it up and it now works fine, at least it checks out OK. Not sure why Searay never connected everything at factory.
