Engine room

I was planning to check and change the fuel filters as John advised me but guess what?:smt119 Engine room full of oil grease stains also some corrosion stain here and there. You know what you can say it is a mess:smt089.
I start cleaning it man it toke me three hours almost none stop:smt021.
I only cleaned the half way tomorrow I will finish the rest I have taken some pics. The first thing I will do is attaching these pics for you to see how I did it.
I had no chance to check the fuel filter I guess I will do it when I finish what I have started

Hello Harib,

A clean engine room and bilge is a good thing. Once you have it that way it is easy to see problems later; oil leaks or whatever are easier to spot. It is satisfying to do a good job and that's what you're doing.

So when you are done cleaning, then you can look at the canister fuel / water filter mounted on each fuel tank, then the spin-on fuel filters on the engines, and last the strainers between the fuel line and carbs.

It's kind of fun to do these projects, really, don't you think?

I looked up Qatar in my Atlas last night to see exactly where you are. Which border did you cruise four hours from? Are you planning to take the boat to Dubai in the UAE? The new resort and marina there are supposed to be beautiful.
