Fast food rant

Well, mostly good news abounds. We moved into the house on Tuesday and were surrounded by tons of boxes of our "stuff" that we needed to get unpacked and things put away.

The work that was to be done was mostly finished and finished right. There were a few things that still need to be fixed/completed and, aside from those minor items the work is done.

It's now Friday and we're still waiting for a couple of items but for the most part the work is complete and we're very happy with how it turned out.

I haven't had a chance to total up the food bills and the bills for the moving company and storage pod company and some other things but I'm guessing those will come up to around $20K.

I haven't taken pics of the completed work yet because we still have some things to put away but I'll post them if anyone is interested. It's been a loooong 8 months since this mess all started and it's good to have it done.

Glad your getting settled in back home Mike. Being a big fan pics as are you, I think some before, (damaged) and after pics are in order this time.

Sorry to hear about your frustrating experiences! It's definitely disappointing when your food orders don't turn out as expected. I can relate—I once had a similar mishap with a fast food chain. Since then, I've switched to supporting local businesses like the mom and pop delis you mentioned.

Well, thanks to some help from other CSR members, I got the photos loaded. There are a few duplicates but I didn't want to take a chance on deleting them because I might have deleted too many.

At least you can see what was done in the kitchen and bathroom. In the kitchen we got all new cabinets and countertops, sink, etc.

In the bathroom where there used to be a jacuzzi tub (which we never used) there is now a walk-in shower. Where the old shower was there is now a large towel closet, and there's a new toilet with a bidet (which I will probably never use!).

Thanks to all for the help getting the photos loaded. It was the suggestion to use a different cable, and that is what worked.
