Splashed her a bit earlier this year than previous. Definitely still some winter going on up here. Had our work cut out us navigating thru large ice slabs and blocked channels. We were able get one real nice day out of the three and the sea was real kind with it's treasures.

What kind of boat were you crabbing from?
The 245SDC in the photo at the pumps. I've done some custom work to it to suit our needs.
That was topping up on the way home. Tough hulls in the old Rays. The ice doesn't leave a mark in the gelcoat. It did worry me a bit at times when some rolled over and was dirty on the bottom.

Ahh, the diamond plate and crane threw me.

I boated in ice once, had to get the boat to a service shop. It was not fun. Windshield was icing up too. So you have my respect as well.
It will build up on the rails if there is spray. We have a little diesel heater we keep going in the cabin with one of the vents pointing at the windshield. The hull keeps warm enough so it doesn't stick to it.
