So, I think the previous owner did not use the fresh water system. I cleaned the filthy water filter, I filled the tank, flip the water system breaker ,the pump started running. After about 20 minutes a light trickle of water came out of the transom show line(not OEM, of course). Pink flowed out (winterizing fluid). Next step, open wash down faucet. Pink until clear. Finally head and galley sinks. I guess my question is, do I change the fresh water pump to hopefully build up better pressure or is there another avenue to get better flow.

I will appreciate any responses. Thanks in advance.

The pump should not run continuously. Once it builds pressure it will shut off.

Does your water heater work? Check to see if the pressure relief is closed.

Is there any difference in water flow when hooked up to the dock water connection? Mine was located next to the helm seat.

Check the inline strainer to see if it is clogged with scale and dirt. That would starve the pump and prevent pressure build up.

I think I may have to replace the pressure relief valve on the water heater. It is very flimsy. I have not hooked up a hose to the wash down faucet, but the pressure was minimal.

Scorpio, are you referring to the water pump filter with the clear cover? It was completely full of gunk and the screen was clogged. I cleaned it thoroughly and but it back together inline. I may have to go back now and see if it has collected more junk.
