We have 2005 390DA
My fresh water pump does not stop running, except with water tank totally full.
I have replaced the the pump and the shore water connection regulator.
There is no obvious leak, but I want to check the water tank and tank fittings.
Does anyone know how to access the water tank?
Any other ideas on why the pump will not stay primed?
Thanks

If you start to loosen the outflow pex line fitting from the pump while it is running air will then escape and the pump will “bite” water and pressurize/prime. In a few seconds the pump will stop running and the system will be pressurized and functional. Do not run your fresh water tank dry or you will have to do this again.

So are you saying if you are connected to shore water….your pump still runs?….. No reason to leave it on if that’s the case but that’s odd unless like Brewster said it was never primed…..but if you have a shurflo they prime themselves… sometimes it takes longer then others.

My Shurflo pump requires me to do that procedure after the fresh water tank has run dry, even after I fill it full again. On my boat, once the pump loses prime from lack of water it cant recover and re-prime itself. It just runs and runs.

If you plug your fresh water hose directly into the supply in the trunk you do not need your pump at all, but the pressure is not as strong (on my boat).

I'm pretty sure, on mine, if i leave the breaker on for the fresh water pump i will use water exclusively from the fresh water tank, even if i am hooked up to shore water. For me to use shore water, my fresh water pump has to be off.

Same for us. If on shore water, we keep the pumps turned off.
