I try not to fly ever. Too many pesky humans involved. My spousal unit prefers to fly because driving "takes too long". So we did the math for an upcoming trip to San Diego (about a 5 hour drive).

1 Hour to the airport + 1 hour to board + 1 hour to fly + 1 hour to get the luggage, get a rental car and get out of the airport + 45 minutes to the hotel. Assuming everything goes like clockwork (which it never does) we save a whopping 15 minutes by flying.

So do we…and my wife and I both worked for an airline! Plus the fact we are 10 minutes from the Can/US border.

Heck yes. I can drive from Baltimore to eastern ohio faster than flying.
