Funny Shit

I could write you a book on all of the stupidity that is involved with trying to keep and care for a boat down here. Even having a trailer and being able to take care of most things myself, the nonsense rules about boat storage, and the fact that no specialist exist make it not worth it.

Its sad shit not funny shit, but I have to laugh

I might learn how to rebuild outdrives and switch trades
That is why I do most of my own stuff. Had my upstairs bathroom remodeled years ago. I told the tile guy I have radiant floor heat and when he is putting down the dura rock to use the screws I got for him. I measured what was necessary and would not poke through the 7/8" subfloor. I got home from work to find he used a fn nail gun. The contractor that hired him had to pull all the nails and fix five spots where it went through the pex. Just one example of moron. Funny now back then there was almost a murder.

A nail gun on Dura rock?? That is just stupid. I'm sure he now has an important job in the Biden administration.

I try to do most things myself as well, but with the nonsense rules, rainy season, and my work schedule I have hired out a few things, Usually to less than stellar results . I also let ford do my oil changes now because for $20 more than I can buy the oil and filters for they rotate the tires and wash them.

i may have found radiant heat with the boschammer a time or two…

My buddy from North Idaho sent this to me from the tire shop waiting room. Be sure to look at the name of the title article on the American Hunter mag:

Roofing gun wire coil. 2 or 2 1/4 inch wire helps hold them in
I'm old school on tile. The base is most important part of the job. If there is give, spring or any movement up/down side to side it will eventually show up in the tile and that sucks. Dura rock is great stuff and I have always used concrete backer board screws on it to hold it permanently in place.

I suppose you could use roofing nails but given they release so easily when a roof gets done.....that would make me nervous.
