Twenty some-odd years ago my buddy and I stopped by the Garlits museum (which looks like where this pic is) on our way to the Gatornationals. There was no one else in the museum except the Old Man was there. He spent two hours giving us a tour and a ton of stories about the Swamp Rats and how they broke the code getting engines to run on nitromethane. The Swamp Rats were his dragsters. We were little kids with unblinking eyes.
If you ever get the chance, go through it; it's in Ocala, Fl.

Driven past it many times on I-75. Need to stop one of these days.
