I am leaving Wednesday on a Bahamas Fling to Port Lucaya Marina, Grand Bahama. I have been one fling before, so I understand the process OK, but still have a couple of questions about this specific site:

1. For anyone who has stayed at Port Lucaya Marina - Any insights? Are the facilities nice? Any good places to eat nearby? Any feedback appreciated.

2. For anyone who has been to this location, what are some good boating day trips to enjoy the scenery, snorkel, and relax?

3. Is anyone else signed up to go this weekend for this Fling?

Thanks!!!

Hi,
We live in Lucaya. You should have a great visit. Facilities are great. 160 slips at the Port Lucaya Marina. 15 different restaurants and bars. Not a lot of marine supplies though. No marina store. Check out Shenaginans for pub food, Agave for great Cuban / Spanish food, Cappuccinos for Italian, Pisces for just about anything and Zorbas for everyday / Greek stuff. There is also a Quiznos and an icecream shop.
Nice short day trip - consider Peterson's Cay, about 8 miles due East of the Bell Channel inlet. Nice picnic spot - we go there often.

Have a great trip!!! Let's see photos and hear all about it when you get back!

Thanks for the advice. We went to Peterson Cay and really enjoyed the spot.

We had lunch at Zorba's and the Gyros there are the BEST!

Thanks again for the info!
