As of today the boat is done; winterized, outdrive and engine lubes changed. A couple minor issues the mechanic found. Said both are solid. Bottom, outdrive, tabs are all painted. Anodes changed.
She ready to drop come spring.
5-6 months I can have fun at the range, going Thursday. What a great feeling.

Glad it has turned around for you. We just got back from our last trip of the season. Going to start the winterizing process next weekend. Now to plan the winter projects ...

I took my oil and filters down to the boat Saturday. Plan on changing oil and taking samples this weekend. Winterizing won't happen until December for us.

Changed 23 gallons of oil last weekend. We're done running but won't winterize until Thanksgiving weekend and are staying in the water this winter.

I almost had an opportunity to paint my bottom but the weather caught me and I didn’t get to it. Would have been nice to have that done and not wait for spring.

Mechanic went thru everything. Said engine, outdrive solid. Power steering down on fluid but we don’t know how long been losing, not in bilge, most likely in the cooler as otherssaid in another thread. He said lets keep an eye on it next summer. If very slow leak, might be cheaper to add a quart each year than replace unit. Will see how it goes.
Wife retires December. I think next summer might be my best season ever. We have amazing plans. I am stoked!

I wouldn't take that mechanics advise. Unless of course you don't mind jeopardizing your "amazing plans". Not to mention the possible continued contamination of our beautiful Chesapeake Bay. That fluid is going somewhere, and could lead to complete power steering system failure if the pump runs dry because of a small leak that turns into a big one all of a sudden and scatters metal throughout the system.

Well, I'm not winterized but I got the oil changed in both engines and the gen today. The actual winterization of the water, HVAC, and engines is relatively quick and will happen later. This was the big part of the process.

Glads I'm all set , but not that cold up in MA yet
