HELP!!!! Starting Issues

Ran jumper from y/r to slave, no change. Ran jumper from battery to to battery tab on key , no change. Barrel connector looks fine, I spread all the pins a little

Last one to check on the key would be the ignition wire correct? Accessories wire shouldn’t matter

Where would I jump that to? There’s no purple wire at the slave, the purple wire on the key is accessories.

On the back of the key is a red/purple connected to the battery terminal and a red/purple connected to the ignition terminal. Solid purple connected to accessories

There should be power to all those. Jump from them to the slave. If that works, jump from them to the y/r at the switch, bypassing it

Thanks scoflaw, I think this is taking me back to the beginning of this thread. When I turn the key to run I get 12v to ignition, when I turn it to start I get 0v to the ignition. That is while looking at the scan tool though, so I don’t know where at the ignition is getting zero. I will do as you said in a bit and get back with the results. Would the shift interrupt switch cause this? How can I test it?

With the test I posted on#86 your bypassing all that. Some models have a fuse on the y/r before and after the binnacle.

Just to be clear, disconnect the r/y at the slave, disconnect the wire from each key switch terminal and jump correct?
I appreciate all your help

disconnect y/r at slave. You don't have to do anything at the key. Your objective is to get a good strong source of 12v from the key to the slave. So jump from the r/p at the switch directly to the slave

Jumping from r/p ignition switch starts right up

So jump from the y/r on the switch with key on to the slave to confirm your switch is good

Jumping from purple to slave starts right up, connected r/y back up at slave, jumped r/y to r/p at

Jumping from r/y at key directly to slave no go

Bad switch. You lost me on the previous post about reconnecting the y/r wire to slave. Don't do that yet. When you say jumping in post #94 your using the jumper wire correct?

Correct. So my new switch is bad

y/r at switch jumped to slave. You have to turn the key to the spring loaded crank position, right?

I thought you said in#92 to jump from r/y at key to slave to confirm switch was good

Correct to #97
