Help with 2016 240 Sundeck Bimini w/Tower

I recently purchased a 2016 240 Sundeck with tower and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to partially collapse the bimini top. I looks like you can reduce the coverage on the back of the boat by collapsing it fwd so it can cover mostly the helm but I'm not sure. I don't have a manual for operation. It also came with another blue item that looks like it can zip onto the bimini. See attached photos..

The blue item looks to be the boot to cover the canvas when it is folded up.
