I have a 1996 330 Sundancer that probabably needs a new vent filter. I'm trying to buy a new filter before taking my old one out. I want to have it in hand next week for some maintenance work I'm doing. Does anyone know the exact size of the ends? Any recommendations on brands that you might have tried and liked? Thanks

Check out better boat products as a search on this site. He has filters on eBay for 1/2 that from WM.

I just received mine (Better Boat Products) and put it in before Memeorial Day. Fits fine and works good. No more smell!

I purchased 16 of them and sold them to my friends at cost. Got a break on shipping this way.

Someone posted a thread about how to take them apart and recharge them. I did it on my old boat and it was easy and worked well. Have to do it again on the new boat now. Mark

It's not worth it. I bought one from Better Boat Products and it was a great price and no fuss.

Highly recommended.

Anyone answer the question about the fitting size? I changed mine YEARS ago so I don't recall if there even are different sizes.

There's actually 4 different sizes of filter fitting from 5/8" to 1.5" but I think 5/8" and 3/4" are the most common on the size of systems we likely have on this board.

Send me your email address and I get the order out to you now. I guess I need to upgrade my membership so this does not happen. Sorry for the hassle.

We have sold almost 100 of our filters and they all fit fine. The cennectors are actually simple garden hose fittings. Regardless of the hose diameter, the fitting is a standard. IM me and I'll help you out.

Retro fitted mine with 2" pvc fittings from BB store and bought activated carbon at petco. Total cost=$18.00. Works great now it will cost me $4 per year. I think the retail prices of these 2" pieces of pvc is ridiculous as usual, boat or motorcycle = mark it up!!!!!
