hey guys - as you can see in the pic, there are 4 wires total (3 in my hand). Can you direct me where to put each on the starter?

Thanks

(I do have batteries disconnected)

Rd/yellow on small inboard terminal. the rest should go to the big lug. No 90 amp fuse ? If so, the fuse goes on the big lug with the battery cable and the rest go to the fuse

Thanks. A little confused now because the guy who uninstalled it texted me and said:

Everything on the centre post labelled 2

Wire 1 goes to post 3

Bolt labelled 1 goes to the block as a ground. Helps support the starter.

Is he incorrect?

Correct except wire 3 to post 3. If indeed it is orange, it's your alternator wire which goes on the center post. y/r to the small terminal #3

So no 90 amp fuse ?

Yes it is orange. I put it to the middle. See photo.

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

If it were me, I’d bench-test the starter to ID the “S” terminal and Also put a test light on the yellow/red wire to make sure it only gets power when the key is turned to the “start” position.

Looks correct, I'll ask one more time about the fuse. Alternator is not protected without one.

Sorry keep forgetting. No fuse.

I’m out ripping around on the lake as we speak and I’m pretty darn happy
