How to look cool while docking

Nice docking. I only had to stern tie once and it was right after we picked up Beachcomber. There was a crowd on the dock to see the new guy with the new boat ram it into the dock.

I disappointed them.

Very interesting. I guess this is called a Mediterranean moor - which I have never done.

Was watching the anchor rode. I wonder how the captain handled the anchor part of this. Did they set the anchor then slack off the rode while backing in? The anchor is the only thing that keeps them off the dock.

We med tie 2x per year at club events... The anchor is at the ready and released as you start to back down into your spot.

I watched a superyacht dock when were in Portofino Italy while on a cruise. We were supposed to be taking advantage of a shore excursion, so my wife was a little perturbed when I wanted to watch the whole show. They literally squeezed the yacht between two others using the fenders while avoiding the small boats in that little harbor swinging on moorings. I should have videoed it. It was crazy.

Aw those silver Mangusta's 100 footers are a dime a dozen. Here is one in Monaco. Must be horrible for an owner to see one just like theirs LOL.

Another one of those tight docking situations.
