I snapped one of my bolts and figured it was time to replace both. I didn't get a chance to inspect the inside of the boat for what type of bolt is used. I suspect it's a standard 1/2" SS bolt, with a few washers on the inside separating the grounding lug connectors? I don't think it's a carriage bolt or just a threaded rod? Anyone on their boat that can take a quick picture of the interior set-up? I'm a month behind schedule on various maintenance before splashing and didn't want to waste any more time with wrong parts. (Although in cases like this I'll typically buy a bunch of different SS bolts, nuts, in 2 sizes, with washers, etc to be sure I can get this set-up again without more trips to the depot.)

I replaced mine years ago with SS threaded rod/washers/nuts/4200 sealant from my local hardware store.
Sorry can't recall the diameter of the rod but, get it plenty long and cut the final length last on the outside of the boat.

My assembly is threaded rod with big fender washers and double nuts on both sides of the hull, one as a jam nut so it won't move.
Inside the boat there are additional nuts securing the ring terminal to the green ground wire.

I think they might actually sell studs for this purpose but, threaded rod hasn't failed me yet....

:)
