We are looking at a 37' sundancer which has a hydraulic extended swim platform, I believe by Sea Lift (not certain about that part). The boat has 300 hours over 4 seasons in fresh water. We will be keeping it is salt water. Does anyone have advice or info about reliability, issues, or effect on performance with these units?

Have one on my 2008, no issues! Being a machinist it is well made and looks like it's not going to have problems in salt water.

Thanks so much. While it isn't an option we need, or would have ordered, it looks like it would be a real asset. One of those details you don't think about at first. I appreciate the feedback.

I had a SeaLift installed on my 420DA and I have a hydraulic lift on my current boat. I won't own another boat without one.

Mine has worked well in our first season last year. Jon, nice shot of your boat in your signature pic.

I installed the Sealift on my 420 Sedan Bridge over 4 years ago. The design is excellent. I have had no issues, performance or otherwise. Hands down it's my favorite option, in my opinion you will love this option/addition to your new Searay.

To add, these are designed for salt water use. You need to replace the zincs every year or every 6 months depending on salt water levels.

Thanks All. It's gone from something I was nervous about to something we're reall looking forward to. Your advice is appreciated!

Jon or others , I have a 44 sun dancer 08 and desire a lift installed ..what brands do you guys recommend ? I looked at tnt freedom and sealift . One of theses or ?? Fresh water use for max a wave runner or a either a zodiac

You don't say what year 37 you aware considering, but I don't believe Sea Ray fitted that model with a hydraulic platform from the factory. That means you must be extremely careful with loads and you probably should verify with Sea Ray that the transom structure can support the weight at the distance from the transom your load will be positioned. I have seen 2 larger boats with the transom literally peeled off the hull when an aftermarket lift was installed without addressing the added stress on the transom.
