I am just in the beginning of installing a NEMA2k simple network. I have a 4-way T that I think you call the backbone. I have my VHF radio(Garmin) on one leg, yellow power plug going to another, my MFD(Garmin 7616xsv on the 3rd, and the 4th is open right now. I have the terminator plug on the left end and a drop cable on the right end. The drop cable runs down to another 4-way T in the bilge where I tied in my new DST810 transducer today. The drop cable goes in the left end of the T, the transducer connects to one of the legs, I have dummy caps on the other 3 legs and the terminating piece on the other end.
My Garmin MFD works perfect showing depth, speed, and temp. I put a Raymarine A060646 cable on the 4th leg of the backbone and plugged it into the back of the Raymarine i50. It powers up, will run through the different setting modes, but will not display the depth. The cable is a A06046 male adapter cable and it connects perfect to the Ancor 4-way T. The book says to use a A06045 female cable. The cable ends are the correct male/female ends, but no depth. Any ideas?
