Looking at a 2006 Crownline 250CR. Read the survey report from 2013 and it mentions a windlass. Talked to the current owner and she said she questioned the surveyor about it and his response was that it was 'serviceable'. Her interpretation was that it was pre-wired. There is a button on the dash for it. I looked in the anchor locker and on that model the windlass sits on a 'shelf' under the anchor locker hatch. There were no wires visible but I didn't reach under the 'shelf'.

Assuming the wires are there how hard is it to install? I'm assuming it would be a pretty easy DIY job if the wiring is there?

What would I need to buy? Prefer a kit with everything so there is no guess work.

Haven't confirmed the purchase yet but seeing what I need to spend after I buy the boat to factor it in. It already has an anchor and roller so that isn't needed.
