A couple just popped up on eBay. $50 shipped, which is really good considering the others I have seen are $130+. Have not yet tested, probably won't get to the boat again until the weekend. Two more still available.Seems I’ve been one upped.

Ok, so I got the new old stock unit installed and it works great. I took my original broken one apart and should be able to fit 3 new bulbs in there. The back is glued to the case and you just cut it with a razor blade. The resistors are 47kOhm on the little circuit board and the bulbs look to be standard NE-2 bulbs. 5mm diameter, 12mm length. I'm going to order some at 0.3A and see if I can solder them in place so they all fit correctly. Thanks, Ken. I was the one who emailed you a few months ago about the heat and brightness issues in the replacement bulbs. I heard from Solico directly that there were actually 15V incandescent versions available long ago, but are no longer made.Dang, you guys are awesome! that is some great research. It's tough to work on research projects in the height of the season. We will start stocking those LED lamps and will note the heat/brightness issue on our websites. We will continue to stock the 12-15V units as they may have a purpose to some. Of course you all can return them with no restock fees, maybe put a copy of this post in the box when you return them so our "returns" desk is alerted.
