Would like to install an inverter to power 2 tvs one in salon other in 2nd stateroom maybe even main stateroom.
Is there such a thing as a whole boat inverter.
just dont want to run genny in pm for tvs

Sure lots of them. Check:

Installing a whole boat inverter requires proper lock out switches or automatic transfer relays to ensure there can never be more than one AC source connected at a time.

Is a separate bank of batteries needed?

Many of us have added an inverter. Properly wired it can seemlessly power several circuits absent generator or Shore power.

It does require a separate battery pack and you’ll need to be a very proficient electrician to get it designed and installed safely.

There are other options like DC powered TV’s or small single use inverters.

Victron makes a cute little 250 Watt pure sine inverter that would be perfect for a couple of TV's. You'd have to source the outlets the TV are plugged into uniquely to the inverter though - that'd be the biggest part of the job.
Let's say each TV draws 50 Watts at 120 volts which is, call it 0.42 amps each - 0.84 amps total. From a battery perspective that would be 8.4 amps at 12 volts. With inverter losses let's call it 10 amps. So if you had two 100 amp hour lead acid batteries (port/house bank) that would give you an absolute of 50 amp hours of use. Save 20 percent of that for engine starting which would give you 40 amp hours for the televisions and other DC loads. That's 4.7 hours of TV time with both on not counting any other loads.

Whole boat inverters? The sky is the limit and pocketbook deep - I know.
