Ipad/iphone mounts

Finally got my RAM iPad and Iphone mounts this week. Looks good and strong. ipad mount will sea sucker to the dash and the iphone mount will be mounted on the dinghy.

Can you post up any details on the specifics around which RAM mount you chose? I was looking at the RAM mount case for the iPad that has the spring clips to allow you you to use a hard case on the iPad and still mount it.

Also is that the 4 1/2" sea sucker?

Yep, it's the big sea sucker. I had a smaller one last year and it was OK for the iphone, but I wanted maximum suckage for the ipad. I chose this mount because it fits like a glove and really locks it into place. Can't use a case with this mount, but my priority with this mount was for it to be rock solid. This thing lives on the boat all summer so i'm not concerned with lugging it back and forth to the boat. For the summer it lives on the boat in the mount, winter it'll live in the truck for travel and camping. There are two arm sizes, I recommend the long arm for the ipad. the short arm is the one on the iphone mount.

Thanks for the info! I'll go with the big sea sucker. I was wondering about the RAM arm length too, longer would be better. I am expecting to leave it on the boat too.
