Is that thing connecting the 2 red wires the breaker? I like the clean look of it. I ran a 100 amp breaker (blue water/ ignition protected) in the bilge to a junction post in my aft hanging locker & for now, hooked up a JL Audio 700/5 amp to run my 4 cockpit speakers & sub thru another 50 amp breaker. I plan on adding more amps off that post eventually.radscoot..
everyone is a critic but this is what I did..
ran 4ga from battery switch with 60amp breaker for + and - to the ground bus to distribution blocks...
4ga to the amps... 4ga to the sub..
used the RCA's from head to amps..
cut the existing spkr wire and ran cockpit speakers to amp, cabin speakers waiting for a small micro amp
mounted amps on a board behind the head unit
just received a 5 rocker switch board i am cutting in to the head board in cabin to control amp on/off so I can control which amp and speakers i wan on at once... also have a small fan to cut into head mount for some air controlled on one of the switches... switch 1: sub 2:main amp 3:front amp 4:rear speakers (not installed yet) 5: fan
will post more when complete...
Yes, that is the breaker, have the same one on my boat, works like an in-line fuse, but it's a breaker instead. Is that thing connecting the 2 red wires the breaker? I like the clean look of it.
