Sir I agree with you. However I had a driver down there that blew into a conch shell and the sound was awsome. Must have circled Key West 4/5/6 times, wewas having a big time.

I am talking about the Conch republic restaurant…. We love the place. Careful with your words.

we had dinner tonight at Alonso’s …nice view from table.

unfortunately the worse dinner ever…. So no more tourist traps…. Cancelled our reservations at A&B lobster house since same kitchen and chef…. And I have sworn off these water front places….. there are so many holes in the wall…. I think they deserve my money more.

left Alonzos and run right into a wahlburgers…. Perfect another chain…. Key west is selling out

I am not an oyster fan….nothing against it… and not sure how you can tell you had a bad one other then after an hour later…. But I can tell bad stone crab as I am picking it out and can tell bad shrimp….. and so should a chef…. My problem was the chef didn’t come out to the table….He just told the waitress to take it off the bill. When a chef does that he isn’t owning his food….that’s when I am done with the place.

Deep Fried Conch is not that good to me either. But, dice up fresh raw conch and marinate in lemon juice and salt for a couple of hours then mix in a green salad you might be a changed man.... Unfortunately, conch is not legal catch in Florida, so it's all imported from the islands; to catch and eat fresh you need to be elsewhere...

No problems with conch, turtle or gator down there. Grouper my absolute favorite when you can get it. Nope on oysters....

All that being said, I still rather be eating conch in Key West than steak in Dallas.
