Labor Day Weekend-Where you going?

Heading up from Port Orchard in the great PNW to Port Ludlow starting this afternoon. Will fish on the way looking for some kings and pinks and once we get to our destination, await 5 of 6 other boaters and have a great weekend. We even have a crabbing contest going for the largest... adult beverages... check, blender... check, goodies... check, admiral... check, etc.
Weather is perfect for us finally... summer is here!!!

Day trips only, working crazy hrs at ground zero this week and next so. I cant really do an overnighter.

Ottawa to set-up my eldest for first year of university.

I can't believe it's here. Since our boat is SOL (bad coupler) we're going to be loading onto my cousin's Brady and Michelle's 320DA and Meg and Greg's 240DA and heading to Pleasant Harbor. We've never been there before

Everyone be safe and have a blast.

I am going to check out the tugboat races and the tugboat nose to nose pushing competition on the Hudson, then head into the city to see Mary Poppins.
Greg,
Where are they doing this?

Is there any particular place to watch it from, or do you just float in the vicinity?

Might be fun to run down.

My plan is to just float around and follow them. I will actually be leaving from Haverstraw, taking some friends with us, the plan is to spend the night at Bowline, head over to Haverstraw in the morning to drop off their boat, then head down for the festivities.

Unless I can sneak out between storms Saturday, look like we are staying home. Watched a fishing boat come in last weekend in hail and wind gust, it wasn't pretty. Lake Michigan waves are steep and frequent; I'm a fair weather guy when it comes to a pleasure cruise.

We will be spending the weekend on Lake Wylie. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

We were out on Haverstraw bay and vicinity yesterday. There's still a LOT of junk and especially branches floating in the Hudson up our way, and probably most of the river. So drive carefully. We were on-plane briefly and I concluded that was not a good idea.
