I know this has been asked and answered here but I can't seem to find directions on how the window comes apart.

The window is about 8 ft long and I can't find any bolts or screws that hold the frame in to the fiberglass hull. Are you guys not taking the frame out of the hull? Does anyone have pictures that shows it step by step? How long does it take to do 1 window start to finish? Our boat is not under cover so I will need to be able to finish before the weather would change on me.

I have a 79 sundancer and my window frame has a black plastic trim that boarders the window frame that hides the screws. A little hook tool on one end to work it loose and it should pull out. It snaps into a groove machined into the window frame.

THAT IS A START.Mine had nuts under the headliner also, and silicone.Did them over the winter, actual time with two people helping r&i probably 10-15 hrs each.Oh the cabinets in the galley and head will probably have to be dissasembled to boot.

I keep hearing about a gasket that Taylor Made still makes but it looks like people are replacing it. My question is does the gasket fit between the glass and frame or the frame and fiberglass? And what gasket is it?

Cant get the outer gasket, clean it up after you take it out and soak it in hot water then strech it out a bit ,flocking is what the sliding window sets in,it is only on the aft half of the window. The rest is bedded with butyl tape you can purchase from a rv dealer. The frame is sealed to the hull with adhesive sealant of your choice,i used 3m4200uv.Put it on extra thick so it will seal and tape off everything you dont want adhesive on.After setting the assembled window tighten snug clean up the tape before the sealer dries then retighten the fasteners the next day.

Leak fixed. We rarely open that window or even cook inside other than some eggs on the stove so we decided to seal it shut permanently. Luckily for us the frame wasn't the problem, it was the flocking and the seal under the window but inside the frame towards the front of the boat. Sea Ray should have made a lip of a gutter where the water comes off the bow right into the window track. She is all sealed up and ready to go now. Thanks for the help guys!!!
