Well, now it looks like we need to go into recruit mode, talk to your friends! lets get some more participants on the list. Get the word out at your marina this Spring. Leads me to another thought - its going to be great to meet some fellow SR owners/club members but no one has any problem with with lesser...I mean other brands joining? (kidding) I would think more the merrier, I dont care what kind of boat you own...Alex? Anyone? What do you think?

Sure thing, Russ. I'm thinking that the list will get bigger as we enter the boating season. For some folks it's way too early to make the commitment for various reasons, but doesn't mean they don't want to participate. I'm still waiting for few folks to see if they can make the trip with me from NJ. But, I have to admit that I was under the impression that we had large CSR LI group. I guess, my assumption was overestimated.

I found this from LI Redezvous 2008:
Greenport is nice and meeting Turtle Tone and Katricol has been great, so thus far our CSR rendezvous consists of 3 boats. Thats enough for a party!

This must be a joke guys, our Jersey gang gets more boats at any casual weekend. What's the deal here? Did someone missbehaved in 2007? LOL.

What about our CT members, you guys must be only an hour or so away. No interest to join us for the event(s)?

My vacation dates have changed, It looks like I will now be able to meet up with you guys on August 8th at Shelter Island.
So you can put me down. From there I will be headed up towards Boston, so I won't be able to meet up with you guys for the Watch Hill thing. But here's My info:

Greg and Colleen, Tiffany(12), Ashley(7), Zachary(7) - "Lady TAZ", 2003 480DB, Raft

Alex, are you still planning on spending the night of the 8th on the hook at Shelter? We have still yet to do that. We've stayed on moorings, but I don't know if I could sleep well at anchor.

Excellent, Greg .

Yes, my plan spending the night on the hook at SI hasn't changed. As for sleeping well, I've done it many times and after reading some stories about morrings at Block Island I trust my anchor more than their mooring balls. SI is very, if not one of the most protected anchorage spots, so I feel very comfortable with it. Here's some interesting reading I found about it. http://www.ospreysguide.com/CruiseGuide/CruiseGSI/CruiseGCoecle/cruisgCoecle.html

If you also decide to spend the night on the anchor we'll be happy to have a company. We can take our dinghies and do some exploring of the area. I think it should be fun for the kids.

Here's our list so far:

Alex Edited (changed Don to marina):
1. Alex and Jelena, Michelle(13), Daniel(5) - "Boat A Bing", 2004 320DA, Raft and Marina
2. Russ and Marybeth - "Last Dance", 370 DA, Raft and Marina
3. John… - "Time Well Wasted", 2002 225WE, Marina
4. Brian and Kathy, kids TBD - "Endless Love", 2007 44DB, Marina
5. Joe and Martha, (possibly) sean,(14) Kelly(13) patrick(9) "Havana Shamrock", 2003 320DA, Marina
6. Don and Dee, (possibly kids) "???", 2005 ???AJ, Marina
7. Greg and Colleen, Tiffany(12), Ashley(7), Zachary(7) - "Lady TAZ", 2003 480DB, Raft

Don and Greg, Excellent - Glad you are coming. Greg, I assure you with all the anchor power we will have we will not be going anywhere it is very calm there. I have not stayed there but on the other side (outside) many times and have never had issues.

Alex, I added them in.

Cmon Spring!!

Sounds like fun, I think I will actually arrive on the 7th, and spend the night there (at anchor?) Alex, dinking around sounds like fun, where is this island and house they speak of? Looking at the list, are Don and Dee in the for the 8th or Fire Island? The list shows RAFT, but I thought he said Fire Island.

Greg,

As I understand, they might be referring to this http://taylorsisland.org/index.html

Just to clarify, I'll be staying there for the night from 8th to 9th (Sun to Mon). If you arrive on 7th will you stay the 2nd night as well?

Thanks for looking out, I made the correction above for Don and Dee.

Alex, I added them in.

Russ, could you please make the correction for Don and Dee.
Thanks.

Alex,

We would like to join you and the rest of the group at Watch Hill on Aug. 13, 2010.

Carol & Don "Tuscan Sun" 2010 350 DA

Alex, I will stay the second night as well, I think I will look into a marina for the first night. Then join the raft up, and I guess anchor the second night. I am still a little nervous about anchoring overnight.

Russ, maybe I'll look into a marina in Greenport for Saturday night, looks like a nice town.
