Does anyone have the number handy......Just some shots of the harbor above

John, first page got all the info you need, but here it is:
Dockmaster: John Murray
Phone: 631-668-3100

BTW, nice 3D shot. What MFD is that?

Alright, i'm officially going to MYC now!!!!! called and registered this morning we're pretty excited about this trip.

We finally got some break in the weather and hopefully you guys are starting to splash. I'm sure that everyone has tons of things to do (myself included), but I thought I'll throw a friendly reminder to call MYC to confirm your registration.

Also, for those who wasn't sure originally hopefully your plans have changed and you can place yourself from "Maybies" to the "List of Participants".

For anyone who just saw this thread for the first time, you have NOT missed the boat. If you would like to have a great trip and meet your CSR friends, don't be shy and feel free to join us at Montauk Yacht Club (MYC) - a top class marina.

Remember folks that by giving the marina your CC it doesn't mean that this is it and you're commited. You have 72hrs (please visit their site to conform) cancellation window, in case if something comes up and you have to bail out.

BTW, 1st page has all the info.

I can't wait to do the trip. The spring rush is here........

Welcome aboard, Steve and the crew. We're glad you decided to join us.

Alex, I can't believe I missed this thread... sorry I'm late. I spoke to Paul yesterday and he thankfully gave me the heads up. I don't think we ever met, beers are on me and thanks for setting this up. I am definitely IN for this trip. Really looking forward to it.

Ron - Whats up buddy? Looking forward to cracking a beer with you this summer and catching up.

Joe - I prefer running on the outside as well. Let me know, I am out of Lindenhurst as well. With my tiny 100gallons, I can just about make it to Shinicock for a re-fill.

If a bunch of people are shooting over to BI I could be game for that as well. I took the trip last year and it was awesome. Absolutely nothing to worry about if the weather is nice. As someone already mentioned, you could do the trip in a dingy on a nice day. Only trick to BI is leaving yourself a little room in your vaca in case the weather gets bad. Otherwise piece of cake!

Sounds great. Please give me necessary info to list in the first page on the list of participants. Also, call MYC to add yourself to the group, their phone is also on the first page.

I guess, after majority splashes their boats and all the "dust" settles in we can go back to the planning board and finalize our group for Block Island. I'd think that we should book the marina there as well.

Welcome aboard,
Alex.

BTW, when you call MYC, tell them you're part of Club Sea Ray group.

Reservation is confirmed, looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone. If you have not called and given your cc info you may want to soon, they told me they did not have my info. I know Alex sent it in, he is one of the most thorough and organized people I know. Must have been a glitch on their end. No issues just call before they get too busy if you haven't. I hope launching is going well for all.

Russ,

Thanks for the kind words. You're actually #2 on my list, which was faxed over to the MYC dockmaster. As you said it's simply some glitch on their part, however it's very possible that thwy maintain their own version for those that have called and confirmed reservation vs. those that still haven't.

As I mentioned earlier, it's best for everyone on the List of Participants to call with their CCs and confirm their reservation. Worts comes to worst you can cancel in 72hrs. IMO, it's much better than runnning around in the last minute and try to have them squeeze you in the group, which will be difficult during the pick time.

Hey Guys,

Before you know the moth of May is coming to the end. I just want to remind everyone to call MYC and confirm your reservation.

I was talking to Russ and we think that it's time to get back to the planning board and try finalizing our group for Block Island. For those who didn't read all 26 pages, after spending the weekend at MYC we're heading to Block for 2 nights Aug 15th-17th (Mon-Wed).

I don't think we need a separate thread for the Block, since this is a continuation of our MYC Rendezvous. I'll add new list on the first page so we can clearly see how our group for Block forms up. Could you guys please confirm who would like to go to Block with us?
So far this is the list I recall:
1. "Alex F": Alex and Jelena, Michelle(14), Daniel(6), "Inspiration" 2005 420DB (LOA=45', Beam=14'3", 2x30amp), Toms River NJ
2. "Russ Calasant": Russ and Marybeth - "Last Dance" 370 DA (LOA=40', Beam=12'8", 2x30amp), Mystic CT
3. "shadow9999": Robert and Diana, "SeaCure" 2000 410DA, Forked River NJ
4. "tdshafer": Todd, Sherri, Ryan (7), Justin(5), Sabrina (3), "Sea Ya Later" 1997 330DA (LOA=35', Beam=11'6", 2x30amp), Great South Bay NY

Another question on the table is where to stay. I remember that we had this discussion few months back and majority wanted to go to Champlins. Russ made a good point that after staying at MYC for 3 days it would be a good idea to change it up a bit and stay at the mooring right next to the marina. This allows us to have much more fun on water, we can have some extra water toys (floats, trampolines, etc.) available right by the boats and of course will be able to swim right there on the spot. We’ll be 1 min. dinghy ride from the land and all marina’s activities, so whoever wants to be part of it will have that option with ease. We would be next to each other, but yet have some extra privacy for the night. It’s sounds like a lot of fun and BTW, I’m sure most will enjoy the benefit of paying $40 per night instead of $150-$250 at $5 per/ft.

So, what you say guys, Champlins or Mooring? I vote for mooring.

Just a heads up: The town moorings are 1st come 1st served. Even early on Monday there is no guarantee that you will all get a mooring much less two or more next to each other.

As Sea Gull stated it is at best a crap shoot to get a mooring, anchoring off dinghy beach my be a better option, just a little longer dinghy ride... On the bright side, you can raft everyone together.

+1 for the raft up off dinghy beach - thats where I'll be for the fourth of July (going in Wed morning) - I know..........CRAZY going to BI on the 4th!!!!!!
