Has anyone switched to led lights. I cross referenced th1141 to 1156 I believe and they don't work, am I missing something these were 20 dollars for 2 at AutoZone. Which ones will work?

But it's just a push and turn socket . Didn't think it would matter

I changed polarity on a battery charger and it worked but I don't want to cut wires

I went to all LED many years ago and a few of my fixtures needed to be rewired to switch pos and neg wires. Sea Ray didn't care when they wired 1156 sockets for incandescent so some were backwards out of the factory. Try just cutting wires and swapping sides and see if your LEDs then work. Or use a tester on the socket and you may find the 1156 case was wired as positive by sea ray (should be negative)

They were 1147 bulbs and I got 1157 so I did switch pos and neg and worked

So I got them to work but I did have to cut and splice The black and white wires took about 10 minutes for each light I'm really happy with the results inside the cabin but I wish they were just simple you know push in turn and done but I got two more to do the head and the one by my feet at the helm

Now I have to write reverse the wires I put the regular incandescent ball back in and it works fine it didn't care which way it was wired
