Hey folks!! SO I have been battling with my windless off an on for 3 years, and I finally got it to where I know the switches, solenoid and motor are all good. What is happening now is that whenever I release the anchor, the round disc on top loosens up and I have to grab my crank and retighten it or it wont grip the rope/chain. The set screw on top is still tight, but the disc on top backs off and no longer grips without retightening. Anyone ever have this issue? Ideas?

Thanks!

Me too !

I figured it out. There is a bar that you need to dlip the other way. It allows for the anchor to drop freely without it, but then requires tightening. Prob a saftey feature. Now that we flipped the little bar, I have to hold the down button continually as I lower my anchor, which is as it should be. If you have trouble with your Lofrans gripping the rope/chain, you can tighten the spindle by using the manual crank and pulling counter clockwise. Lol.. I learned more than I wanted to know about this thing the last couple years .
