Howdy all - Looking for a hatch lift actuator for a 2006 340 Sundancer. It is an 18 inch actuator that opens to 24.5 inches. Any out there to be had? Acculift is out of business. Anyone used another direct replacement brand?

Thanks, Korkie

Check you sea ray dealer that is where I got 2 of them last year, I got it from the Miami dealer

Got one at PW Marine. They had 3 in stock. After install, noticed it was traveling faster than the other side. Tried to adjust it so it would stay even and just kept getting jacked up and crooked. We would get it even and after about about a dozen lifts it would jam up on the side of the gunnel. We decided to take it back out and contact PWM with the issue. On the last lift up it failed. Motor runs, but shaft doesn't move. My guess is it sheared a pin. Guess we will see how PWM customer service is.

I replaced both at the same time just to eliminate the reason you experienced.

Understand that if I was gettting an aftermarket unit. But buying from a Sea Ray dealer with a SeaRay part number, one would think it would be the same. Certainy don't replace both outdives when only one needs it. It is same brand and appears to be identical, on the outside. We actually repaired the old one and put it back on and it works fine. The bottom broke off when it was hit as we were pulling the stbd motor to do transoms. A friend repaired it using JB Weld, a couple of pins, and a stainless sleeve around the base to reinforce it. Still want to replace it as the repair appears solid, although needs to be right.

No harshness implied whatsoever. My take is that the other one was under performing when the first one failed, that's all.

Mitch - Wasn't unerperforming. We actually broke the bottom mount off it when removing the motor. All good, I will get it straightened out. Good to go for now. Still going to replace the repaired one. Be it with another or 2 new ones.

The OEM supplier that SR used is out of business so they have another supplier obviously. That is likely why the don't run the same speed. Just a thought...
