My marina opens Thursday the 23rd!
Here is the owners statement:
Public Notice
Beginning on Thursday April 23, 2020 current dock slip renters at Summersville Lake Marina, Inc. can bring their vessels to the marina and moor them. We ask that you practice social distancing and to not congregate into groups. We ask that you limit the people that you bring to just your family members or a friend. We will NOT be open to the general public at this point in time for business. Only existing boat slip renters are allowed on the marina docks. “No Trespassing Signs” will be up and in effect.
Anyone who decides to NOT put their vessel in this season because of the Corona 19 virus will be allowed a FREE hardship year. If you decide to NOT put your vessel in for the 2020 season, it will NOT count against you. If you decide to NOT put it in this season, you have until May 15, 2020 to notify us so we can refund your dock rent. We will then use those slips as temporary slips to rent out to other people. Beginning on Thursday April 23, 2020 there will be one or more staff members at the marina working on the docks. The marina boat house will NOT be open for regular business. We will try to help you with simple things like fuel or ice when possible. We do not know yet when we will begin running normal business hours. We also do not know yet when we will start renting out pontoon boats. Our night watchman will begin on Thursday night April 23, 2020.
I may try to splash this weekend... not sure yet but certainly by next weekend. And so it begins!
