This is a gently used Mercathode Tester that will allow you to periodically check your outdrive while it is in the water to see if you are getting the proper readings necessary to protect the drive against Galvanic Corrosion. (TESTING THE OUTDRIVE WHILE THE BOAT IS IN THE WATER IS THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW IF YOUR MERCATHODE SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY) I am selling it because I no longer have my boat.
I used this probe every month on my boat for the last several years and found it invaluable to ensure the Mercathode was working properly. It helped me identify a problem early on (twice) so I could get it fixed as well. Remember, even though you regularly change your anodes there is no guarantee that your Merchthiode System is working.
