Milwaukee Air and See Show this weekend

This coming weekend is the annual air and sea show directly off the Milwaukee lake front.

Attached is a link to the air and sea show website, which includes the schedule. The air part includes the Thunderbirds, the Army Black Daggers, the Navy Rhino F/A-18 Demo Team, the Air Force Viper F-16 Demo Team, the 440th Airlift Team and the Air Force B-1B Lancer. The water part includes USCG Traverse City SAR Demo and various other water acts (water ski team competion, etc).

There is a safety zone directly in front of Bradford Beach (beach north of the North Breakwall), so you are going to be anchoring out a mile off shore in 40 feet of water.

But well worth it!

[Escapade]

The flight line comes just east off the North Gap. We run a few hundred yards out and drop hook at end of flight line. If its lumpy we will tie off to inside wall w/ safe depth. Thursday and Friday are tentative practice days. You have got to love those jets! The Malibu Water Ski show is in the lagoon of Lincoln Memorial drive behind marina. All day Friday And Saturday into evening. Walk over at 8 pm and see the Ski Jump Competition under the lights. Well worth carrying a cooler of refreshments over. We threatened the park system that we would put up some tree stands to see all the action. Do they sell air conditioned tree stands?

Now you are making it tough Mike. There is also a boat show / Venetian night at Northpoint this weekend. Decisions, decisions...

Air show practice was fanyastic yesterday. We found the flight line and dropped a hook right at the end near the Coast Gaurd boat. Taking ear plugs for the B1 bommer today. Just glad we saw him coming up on us..... Crap that was loud!

Incredible - Saturday's show was much better than Sunday's because of the reduced cloud ceiling - but none the less, these are incredibly skilled and talented pilots. Makes you real proud of the men and women who defend our freedom on a regular basis and those that show us what they can do!
