My extensive research this year has taken me over 3 of the 5 great lakes.
I was not expecting to become an undercover agent but the needs of the many in the boating community outweigh the needs of the one. At great personal expense and hardship I submit the following.

Lake Michigan southern end looking north:

Lake Erie south end.

Lake Ontario south end.

BTW my lake is completely iced over here in central Pa.

As you can plainly see Al Gore was spot on. :smt043:smt043

Wow, first a Beech 1900 turboprop and now you've moved up to chartering an Airbus 320 to cover more ground in your research.

Thanks for all your efforts,

;)

We all know that Big Al, the inventor of the internet, would NEVER utter an inconvenient truth. He also wouldn't recognize the truth if it bit him on the arse!

Now that natural gas co.has the upper hand on providing energy in are country all this talk about global warming will go away . The bubble that the EPA controls that is over the USA will protect us. Mean while are coal companies Will start exporting all the unused coal to other countries that could care less about global warming or the EPA.

Good eye Mark! Yes the research money just keeps piling in so we needed to spend it off before the repubs started an investigation.
More to come. Here is some ground observations from El Paso. To SloBurns point it is very dry there.

Our research team is scheduled to fly over Lake Erie, Michigan, and hopefully Superior on April 7th. Lets hope we see more blue than white under us. I'll see if our flight coordinator can get better seats for or camera crew. But then we can't play "guess what plane we have".

Oh well the price of research.

It usually is dry in a desert...

It's not called Global Warming anymore...not it's "Climate Change" get it right.

I don't know about blue on Lake Superior. I just needed my auger extension to get through 3 1/2 feet of ice for fishing two miles out from Grand Island.
It was also white as far as I could see from 300 feet above the ice on the North end of the island.

Looking forward to the research photography

My point Exactamondo. Climate change usually happens 4 times a year in my parts though.

Global warming = climate change
Illegal aliens = undocumented citizens
Welfare recipients = resource challenges individuals
Hope and change = desperation and big government

Thanks for the field report KC. Keep them coming as we strive for the latest information to supply to us cabin restricted boaters.

I'm happy to say "I contributed to global warming" 8 cylinders at a time this weekend, burned about 20 gallons of fuel!

Confirmed Great lakes flyover for April 7th. Please make research contributions by sending your debit card info to my "secured" e-mail address. (I'm the only one that's allowed to look at it) I'll use what we need then you can keep what is left over. Thanks:grin:

A single cold winter does not belay the fact that our world is getting warmer. In fact, this bad winter may be due to climate changes in Europe affecting the jet stream in North America.]

Your first sentence is flat out wrong. There is no fact the earth is getting warmer, rather there has been no warming in 17 years and the GW/CC claiming scientists are scrambling to find a way to prop up their failed hypothesis. You then state "in fact" that GW/CC is causing weather and that to is wrong.

I have yet to see ANY evidence of GW/CC that does not involve man-made "computer models". It is the height of scientific arrogance for any human to believe they can account for ALL variables both on and around this planet to create a computer generated forecast that would be correct. Their models of the past 30 years have failed to correctly predict the past 20 years, why should we believe they are correct about the next 150?

I have included a link from Forbes a centrist-left publication that explains this.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/peterfe...ger-than-the-period-of-actual-global-warming/

Some quotes from the article:

"If you look at the record of global temperature data, you will find that the late 20th Century period of global warming actually lasted about 20 years, from the late 1970s to the late 1990s. Before that, the globe was dominated by about 30 years of global cooling, giving rise in the 1970s to media discussions of the return of the Little Ice Age (circa 1450 to 1850), or worse.

But the record of satellite measurements of global atmospheric temperatures now shows no warming for at least 17 years and 5 months, from September, 1996 to January, 2014..."

The Economist reported:

“OVER the past 15 years air temperatures at the Earth’s surface have been flat while greenhouse-gas emissions have continued to soar. The world added roughly 100 billion tonnes of carbon to the atmosphere between 2000 and 2010. That is about a quarter of all the CO2 put there by humanity since 1750.”

"Moreover, the now extended trend of no global warming is not turning around any time soon. That increasingly established trend is being produced by long term natural causes. Even rank amateurs among the general public can see that the sun is the dominant influence on the Earth’s temperatures. Even the most politicized scientists know that they cannot deny that solar activity such as sun spot cycles, and variations in solar magnetic fields or in the flux of cosmic rays, have contributed to major climate changes of the past, such as the Little Ice Age, particularly pronounced from roughly 1650 AD to 1850 AD, the Medieval Warm period from about 950 AD to 1250 AD, during which global temperatures were higher than today, and the early 20th century Warming Period from 1910 to 1940 AD."

There is ample scientific evidence to show it is real. Even a few republican scientist agree.

I have a large boat. I am contributing, yup. However, I can go a year on a tank of gas because we spend mucho hours on the hook. I also have a low carbon footprint since I don't drive much, keep the lights off when I don't need them, etc.

gas is meant to burn, and we are hydro carbon based world. I am not implying others on this website need to follow my lead. It is a personal decision, and not for me because I will be dead within 30 years, but for future generations. Just my opinion, which usually runs contrary to this group.

Most scientists agree that our solar system and planet Earth have existed for approximately 4 billion years, give or take a billion. Humans have been inhabitants here for how long? Let's say 50-100,000 years (that's a stretch). Humans began tracking surface temperatures about 125 or so years ago of which the last 50 or 60 have been accurate.

The planet has survived many major geological events, massive eruptions, tsunamis, meterorite impacts (remember the dinosaurs) that were followed by unbelievable temperature changes in both directions.

I simply don't understand what humans think they know about our planet....

Just saying.

I'm going boating!

I was expecting to see bikini pics...

When I ask for "believers" to provide the evidence that prompted their belief, I never get get anything substantial back...

Wonder why???
