Has anybody tried these on a 340 da with a swim platform 20" above water, I have a caribe 10x rib weight with motor 262 lb and a beam of 64". I am trying to decide between nautley or hurley?
Does anybody have experience with any of these

I just purchased the Nautley ones - getting ready to mount them in the next few weeks.
I picked them because the arms are independent of each other - it gives you more flexability mounting around a swim platform, adjusting for the size of your dinghy, and weight distribution. And I thought the rollers would make it easier. Also, since my swim platform is only 24 inches, I can mount these and still have about 8 -10 inches to walk behind the boat. Nautley = $1495.00 and Hurley I think is around $800 - 900.

what type of tender do you have? hard? soft? weight? I have 26 inches on my swim and my marina is crying for an answer on a davit system.....

I have an 11' Air Floor Soft bottom Mercury with a 9.8 HP 4 stroke. Boat is 110 and motor is 81 lbs. ...so with 3 gals. gas it's about 220 lbs total. The rule with Nautley is that if you mount it using only 18" of your swim platform, then the max. weight each arm will support is 150 lbs. Most of the weight is on the stern with the motor so they use a 2/3 of total dinghy weight to estimate how much of a load that arm has.........so in my scenario 220 x .66 = 145 lbs. So I am right at the limit for that arm if I use 18" of the platform. If you mount using more than 18" of the platform - the weight then goes up. If you search for this on EBAY they have much better pictures than their website. They are also very helpful if you call them.

I bought the Hurley in 12/07 and used it numerous times on a Jan./Feb. Cruise. I am very pleased with it on my 1998 370DA. I looked at both systems and talked to each company to try to sort out the Pros and Cons. I chose the Hurley and am glad I did.

I tto, bought the Hurley Davits for my last 340DA and was very pleased. They are really light weight, and I liked that there was not a lot of hardware on the swimplat if I wanted to go without the dinghy. There are 2 pins that hold it on. Customer support was superb. I do not have any experience with the other brand.

i ordered the hurley system also for my 36 sedan bridge.......i also needed a new tender so i went with a new 9' dinghy and 8 hp yamaha 2 stroke to keep the weight down.....i will offset it a bit to starboard so i have access out my port transom door and swim platform (reason why i went with 9')......i wanted a hard dinghy, but was afraid of weight launching it and retrieving it......not perfect but when you add up all pros and cons, this works best for me. it should be installed in next couple of weeks.
