I ordered and am ready to install a new style steering actuator for my braov1. I am removing the leaking saginaw style ram and bought the new style gray unit. It bolts right in no problems. When I was researching the upgrade, i got help on here and also did a lot of internet searching and read that the hoses were an easy swap by getting them re-worked at a hydraulic hose shop. My existing hoses are brand new, just need the metric o-ring ends installed.
PROBLEM...i have called and visited over 7 shops that custom make hydraulic lines, with the actuator, and no one has fittings to work with this unit. I cant see spending over 200 on simple hydro lines, one of which is a low pres return from merc.
Has anyone done this conversion and can direct me to a shop where I can buy the fittings to have installed or anything like that? I have missed one great boating weekend and don't want to miss anymore. I don't understand why this is such a difficult piece to buy? :huh:Thanks in advance on this one!!!!!!!!!!!!
