E10 gas is tough in the marine environment. We are lucky that most of our marinas sell non-ethanol gasoline - which i use in our waverunner and dingy.Sorry I forgot to answer your fuel question
We now have E10 gas which as it states is around 10% ethanol, obviously our friend in Russia has mucked things up a little with fuel prices going crazy for a while, but settling down some. As my post mentions above, I budget for around 50 hours annual engine time at lower cruising speeds, so overall fuel costs are not our single biggest cost to run the boat.
Marina fees, Government licences, insurance and annual maintenance would be our biggest cost. Boating as a % of net income is an expensive pastime in the UK, but my wife and I have few other vices…
